FAQ's about Orange County Awake Facelift

The Awake Lift is Dr. Sadati’s newest procedure. The procedure is performed by Dr. Kevin Sadati, board certified facial plastic surgeon quickly and involves a shorter recovery period than traditional facelift surgery. The mini facelift focuses on specific areas of the face, such as the neck and sagging jowls.

Using smaller incisions and often taking advantage of new facelift technology, Dr. Sadati lifts, repositions, and removes facial tissue to achieve optimal results. Once factors contributing to unwanted sagging and drooping have been eliminated, the surgeon carefully repositions the skin using small sutures. The procedure is done in about an hour in our certified Surgical Center and you will go home the same day.

Candidates for Awake Lift Surgery

Awake Natural Lift is appropriate for people who are experiencing signs of aging but do not want to undergo a more intense surgery with general anesthesia and a long recovery time.

In general, those who opt for the Awake Natural Lift are typically over the age of 40 and 50 but in some circumstances could be as old as 70. Due to genetics or environmental exposure even some candidates that are younger than 40 can see excellent results. Usually they want to remove minor sagging or drooping around the cheeks, jowls, and neck area.

Awake Lift Cost

The cost of the mini facelift makes it a particularly attractive option. Since the mini facelift is less invasive, it can be performed more quickly and often requires only local anesthesia. These factors help keep the cost of the Awake Facelift quite low compared to other options.

Will Scares be noticeable?

Most patients who have followed post-op care instructions say the scar lines are virtually undetectable once healed.

What type of anesthesia/sedation is used?

The procedure can be performed with local anesthesia or twilight sedation, both of which make the procedure painless and minimize the chance of complications. Oral pre-medication is generally recommended to help relax the patient.

How long with the results last?

The procedure can erase up to ten years or more from your appearance almost instantly; however, the normal aging process will resume. Many factors, including skin type, sun exposure and heredity all play a role in determining how long the desired result will last.

Signs of aging of the lower face are laxity in the jowls, jaw lines and neck, and down turned corners of the mouth. Aging of mid face are: loose skin above and below eyes and crow’s feet around eye area as well as pronounced nasal labial folds. Drooping of the bow lines and deep lines on the forehead that give a stern appearance are upper face aging. Downturned corners of the mouth, and diminishing upper lip line.

Nobody likes aging process. But, it’s inevitable. Or…maybe not! Dr. Kevin Sadati, a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon in Newport Beach, has introduced a ground- breaking and cutting-edge procedure “The Natural Lift” the latest anti-aging breakthrough that patients are declaring “The Fountain of Youth” states Dr. Sadati, “A decision to have cosmetic surgery is an important one. It is vital that patients receive sound, professional advice tailored not only to their individual needs, but to their individual look,” he adds, “My goal is to enrich a patient’s life with a more youthful and revitalized appearance.”

The “Natural Lift” is different from a traditional lift due to the fact that it is less invasive and allows the patient to be wide awake and sitting up during the procedure. States Dr. Sadati, “”My goal is to enrich a patient’s life with a more youthful and revitalized appearance in the most natural, best way possible”.

The “Natural Lift” only takes one hour but the results are astonishing and last upwards of 10 years. As mentioned, the most noteworthy of this procedure is the fact that no general anesthesia is used. Dr. Sadati adds “When it comes to going under the knife a big negative is the down time associated with bruising and swelling which is increased tremendously with the use of general anesthesia.” The Natural Lift” gives patients all the benefits and more of a traditional lift without the negatives.
