Excess male breast development is called gynecomastia. This condition may occur in men due to a variety of causes including weight gain or loss, use of certain drugs like hormones or steroids, fatty tumors, genetic predisposition or hormonal imbalances. In many cases, no cause is found. In cases where there is one sided enlargement, medical testing may be necessary prior to consideration of surgical treatment. If a mass is found, this must be addressed and may require testing, imaging and biopsy (pathological evaluation).
Excess skin and fat of the arms can be a result of heredity, or more commonly significant weight loss. Not being able to wear tank tops, bathing suits or other sleeveless tops and dresses, and having to wear long-sleeved shirts, blouses or shawls in warm weather are common complaints. There may be physical problems caused by chafing and irritation of the excess skin and fat as well. A brachioplasty or "arm lift" is a surgical procedure by which excess skin and excess fat from the upper arms are removed.
Buttock enlargement or buttock augmentation (also known as a Brazilian Butt Fill™) allows men and women with flat or poorly developed buttocks to enhance and shape the buttocks to their liking. While many women will increase the size of their breasts, they find there is an imbalance between the front and the back, and wish to contour their buttocks to fit their body size and shape. Many patients who come to us are frustrated that no amount of diet and exercise will shape their rears the way they desire. Now, buttock augmentation is helping these men and women solve this once impossible problem! Our patients say their clothes fit better, they feel sexier, and their confidence levels have greatly improved after they have had their buttocks enhanced to a fuller, shapelier derriere.
For many men and women, liposuction is a dream come true. Liposuction is the most commonly requested elective cosmetic surgical procedure in the United States and the World. It provides a means to safe removal of unwanted deposits, bulges, contours, distribution of fat. Thin, highly polished blunt tubes (called cannulae) are placed through small round skin punctures, allowing removal of fat tissue via application of a low vacuum produced by syringes.
Having multiple pregnancies, losing a lot of weight, or just time and gravity taking its toll on the abdomen will inevitably produce loose skin and excess fat. Even for those who have exercised daily and dieted and have lost their excess weight may still have unwanted loose skin and fat, and the only way to get rid of it is by having an abdominoplasty.
Giving birth can be one of the most rewarding experiences of a woman's life. Unfortunately, pregnancy and breast-feeding often result in unwanted changes in a woman's body, such as drooping breasts, enlarged areolas, a thicker waist, and pockets of fat in the abdomen, stretch marks, and a sagging tummy that no amount of exercise and dieting seems to fix. The loose muscles and stretched skin may improve somewhat over time, but the body never completely returns to the way it was before pregnancy.
