Buttock enlargement or buttock augmentation (also known as a Brazilian Butt Fill™) allows men and women with flat or poorly developed buttocks to enhance and shape the buttocks to their liking. While many women will increase the size of their breasts, they find there is an imbalance between the front and the back, and wish to contour their buttocks to fit their body size and shape. Many patients who come to us are frustrated that no amount of diet and exercise will shape their rears the way they desire. Now, buttock augmentation is helping these men and women solve this once impossible problem! Our patients say their clothes fit better, they feel sexier, and their confidence levels have greatly improved after they have had their buttocks enhanced to a fuller, shapelier derriere.

Buttock Fat Transplantation
Dr. Sadati is an expert in the field of fat grafting using a patient’s own fatty tissue (Autologous fat) with PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) to boost their body and facial features. He published a well-known research paper regarding free fat transfer with PRP in the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery. His paper received the best scholarly manuscript research paper award in 2006 at the American Academy of Cosmetic Scientific meeting. He uses excess fat from other areas of the body, which act as donor sites. The donor sites include the abdomen, hips, back or thighs to add shape to the buttock area. The fat cells are delicately removed with a gentle liposuction technique, and then inserted through small incisions into different layers of the buttocks. According to Dr. Sadati’s research, long lasting results with fat grafting depends on careful tissue handling and preparation for transfer and most importantly, the addition of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). He and his colleagues have participated in several clinical studies on small and large volume fat transfer with PRP, and have shown excellent outcomes and long lasting results. The addition of PRP has shown to increase the retention of the transplanted fat cells, as well as the rate of “take” (meaning the acceptance of the new cells in the desired sites, where they may permanently survive). This method is more natural than the alternative – buttock implants. Patients prefer the idea of using one’s own fat to add volume and shape to their rears. With fat transplantation, there is no chance of the body rejecting the fat cells and less chance for infection. However, the cells are sensitive and require careful and meticulous handling by an experienced buttock augmentation surgeon. The fat must be placed strategically through tunnels in layers in order to attain the smooth and natural result the patient is looking to have.
The Buttock Augmentation Procedure
The Buttock Augmentation Procedure, which is usually performed under general anesthesia, takes about one hour. An additional benefit to removing fat from donor sites, is that the patient can also benefit from modified liposuction to those areas. An important consideration for buttock fat transplantation is the availability of donor sites. While fat is usually in abundance, some people may not have extra fat available. In these patients, buttock augmentation with fat transplantation is not an option. The amount of fat transferred depends upon the individual’s aesthetic goals, and donor site availability. During the surgery, small incisions are made and the fat cells are inserted and distributed evenly throughout the buttock area, thus resulting in a beautifully shaped and smooth derriere.
Recovery from Buttock Augmentation
A patient may experience some mild discomfort which can easily be relieved by pain killers, or something less strong. You will be able to sit down soon after your buttock augmentation surgery. You will need to wear a compression garment for one week but will be able to return to work in three days. Two weeks after your surgery, you can resume your progressive exercise program.
