Botox® Cosmetic is an FDA approved treatment for the temporary reduction of moderate to severe wrinkles of the face due to repeated movement of certain facial muscles. It is used for both medical and cosmetic purposes. Botox® Cosmetic blocks nerve impulses which reduce movement of specific muscles thereby smoothing out the area.

We also use Botox for the treatment of excess sweating or hyperhydrosis of the underarms and palms. Botox® Cosmetic controls excess sweating by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. The median duration of relief seems to be 7 months.
