One reason that eyes may seem older and droopy is simply due to age. As skin ages it relaxes and looses elasticity, therefore the eyebrows sag. As the outer part of the eyebrow droops, the skin of the upper eyelid will look saggy, as if you had developed extra skin that was not there several years before. This effect will hide the upper eyelid margin and make those beautiful eyes look tried. Correction of the defect is easily done by trimming this "extra" skin. As well as having upper “hooding” the eyelids can also suffer from excess fat. This fat is held back by a thin wall of fibrous tissue called the orbital septum, which sags over time. The fat, which is held firmly back by this wall in youth, can bulge with age, giving you "baggy" upper and lower eyelids. Eyelid lifts trim this extra fat and tighten the wall, restoring a youthful contour.
