In this before and after nasal surgery picture, this young male patient is 8 weeks post operative revision rhinoplasty. He has had previous rhinoplasty with another surgeon and he was not happy with droopy tip and dorsal hump. Dr. Sadati performed an open revision rhinoplasty and used special grafting technique to create support for the tip. His nose is now looking more masculine and natural. This beautiful young lady is 8 weeks post operative in this revision rhinoplasty before and after picture. She has had previous rhinoplasty surgery with another surgeon; however the results were not satisfactory. She raised her concerns with Dr. Sadati regarding her irregular dorsal and nasal bone area. This 50 year old patient is 7 weeks post rhinoplasty that improved her nasal tip and dorsum. She wanted a cosmetic nasal surgery that would improve her nasal features with pleasing look that fit her facial features. "Redoing" a prior nose job that left you unsatisfied is a daunting task.  To help prospective patients with this process, I have included three factors you should know prior to considering revision rhinoplasty.

1.) How long ago was your prior nose surgery? And what region of the nose you are concerned about?

Complete healing from a prior nose surgery can take up to a full year. This is especially true to at the tip of the nose. This region is the most cosmetically sensitive and the last to completely heal. Anxious patients looking to remedy some expected postoperative healing by having another surgery could potentially cause more problems.  For patients concerned about the shape or position of their tip, I typically recommend waiting a full year before considering revising the nose.
The bridge of the nose is less gravity dependent than the tip and tends to
“settle” faster.  This region can be assessed earlier than the tip for revisions.
