Procedure(s): Neck Lift
Correction: Laxity of Neck
This beautiful young lady was bothered by the laxity of her neck that did not match the rest of her face. She had a neck lift with local anesthesia and twilight sedation. In this after photo, she is 12 weeks post procedure and is very happy with the results. Many people in their 40’s and 50’s are bothered by the appearance of their neck, whether because of fatty deposits under the chin or aging changes such as loose skin and muscle bands.
The neck is frequently one of the first areas where we notice the effects of aging, but sometimes the problems are simply hereditary.
For example, fatty deposits under the chin that create the appearance of a double chin, or create an unattractive neck-to-chin angle, are often a familial trait. Fortunately, there are a number of effective treatments for the neck.
In some patients, treatment of the neck requires undergoing a mini facelift at the same time. This is true when the problems of the neck are related to the sagging of facial tissues. The incisions made for a mini facelift often provide the best access to make modifications to the neck contour. It is important that the face and neck are in a harmonious relationship to one another.
You would not like the way you look if your neck appeared youthful but your face looked aged, or the other way around. When Dr. Sadati examines your neck, he will take into consideration the causes of your dissatisfaction with your neck, as well as how to create the most harmonious appearance possible for you.
